Therapy is a collaborative process that serves to broaden the lens by which we see and interact in our world with the ultimate goal of living life more engaged, connected and consistent with our values.

Therapeutic Approach

Dr. Spertus’ therapeutic approach is a collaborative one, drawn from years of study and practice of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and often what is considered the next generation of CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).  This type of therapy incorporates mindfulness and focuses on helping clients live their lives with meaning and more consistent with their values, while finding new ways to manage the difficult thoughts, feelings and physical sensations that can get in the way.
